Steven Pane

Dr. Steven Pane’s career as a pianist, teacher, and writer emerges from a life-long interest in the interdisciplinary collaboration in the performance of music.

About

Steven Pane has performed as piano soloist, chamber musician and conductor in halls such as the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, Aaron Davis Hall in New York City, Davies Hall in San Francisco and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; in addition, he has performed and given lecture recitals at Harvard University, Colby College, University of Wisconsin, University of Maine and University of Central Florida.  As a pianist and intermedia collaborator, Steven Pane has worked with colleagues and students from areas such as sound art, philosophy, poetry, literature. Pane is Professor of Music at the University of Maine at Farmington where he teaches courses in music history, interdisciplinary studies, writing/first-year seminars and travel courses to Italy.
